I've recently plowed under about 2 acres of oats and fescue that I planted this time last year. Its in the middle of about 13 acres of 13 year old clear cut, that is bordered by a good deal of hardwoods. I've hunted this land since I was about 10 (now 26). This is the only tract of land that I hunt. No big deer have ever been taken off this property, but I know there around. Now to my question, What would you fellows plant now. Not looking to spend a whole lotta money. Thanks in advance.

add winter peas if your gonna buy loose/ bulk seed to go with oats, wheat or rye and crimson/ yucchi arrowleaf colvers or put you some tecomate max attract with it's good mix or pennington elite if your looking for a mix.

Sounds like you're wanting the most for your money..... if so, take the time to get a soil sample, so you'll know how much lime to put on the plot. The proper amt of lime will allow your fertilizer to work wonders!!
