The son in law opened up in Alabama when they passed away. I heard it wasn’t the same but still a decent Cuban.I turned a lot of my fellow fire fighters on to Cool Corner. You would be surprised how many grown folks have never had a Cuban sandwich.
We would take Engine 16 all the way from Simpson Road (a mile west of the Georgia Dome) to get Cubanos.
Is this the same Kool Korner that used to be by Tech? We used to go there for lunch when I worked for Coca-Cola with our GA Tech Co-ops if that is the same one...The son in law opened up in Alabama when they passed away. I heard it wasn’t the same but still a decent Cuban.
Yes, same family. It was across from Tech until the lady who rang up the food passed. Is this the same Kool Korner that used to be by Tech? We used to go there for lunch when I worked for Coca-Cola with our GA Tech Co-ops if that is the same one...
Great cuban sammich then...and there was another great one on Buford Highway that I think burned...second best cuban in ATL...Yes, same family. It was across from Tech until the lady who rang up the food passed.
I don't know what that is but I could have some fun with that post...I even ate at the sketchy Olympic Flame for foot long dogs.

I would say a lot of my friends who are natives never seem to have found it...I guess I knew of them from other cities and states so went there when I moved here...Not sure how I never had Zesto? My wife worked on piedmont.

Yes that one! Never went back after it reopened...The Havanna Sandwich Shop.
I used to eat there about 5 times a week when we were restoring a buddy's house near Brookhaven.
It burned and then the reopened it.
Yep that one...14th Street IIRC.
Well definitely not eating "healthy" tonight but took the tax deductions to the last night of the Zesto for one last burger and shake...they were thrilled to wear the hats and take a photo...
Yep that one...
If you look real hard you can see the banana split in the photo that the kids started on while waiting on the food...You're killin' me Smalls.

Was it on 10th or 14th or Marietta? I don't know if I ever went there...there was a pizza join on 10th or 14th where we used to go...Did you ever eat MJ Pippins on North Av? Great pizza.
We would hit it before every Tech football game BITD.
Ate at Havana last week. Still an excellent Cuban. Kool Korner was almost to Hemphill on 10th. Always had a line going down the street and the nicest couple making sandwichesThe Havanna Sandwich Shop.
