Two different counties and soil types. Thankfully the neighbors for both farms are QDM oriented folk so we are all working towards the same goals.This is awesome because the bone structure for all three seems so different to be around the same agr
Genetics & soil composition definitely play a factor as well. One county has dozens of P&Y entries, the other just a handful.
The biggest takeaway I’ve learned following specific bucks (as best as one possibly can) is not all bucks will hit +120”.
So regardless of antler score, I’ll typically aim to kill bucks 4YO or older if possible. I’m not a stickler to that though.
