Update on the injured Doe

Someone shared that perhaps the exposed bone on the injured doe would eventually break off and the nub would heal over. As you can see, we may be well on our way to that happening! Because of her tenacity and with the emphasis now on the #3 I have named her Earnhardt.

Gone But Not Forgotten
I've seen three legged deer run as fast as four legged one's they were with. I killed a large buck in Lee Co. Al years ago that was missing a hind foot. He was walking on the nub.

They are tough here’s one we had on camera this year, kinda hard to see but the bone is poking through the skin right below the joint ln his back leg.72B1A14B-5DE5-49A8-AA0A-7D995F4410C3.jpeg
