before my wife passed a few yrs back we visited mt airy nc, visited the AG museum and took a ride to the top of pilot mt......neat little tourist town.....
I knew a guy in the Army who was from that town. He sure did some crazy Ernest T. shenanigans from time-to-time.

When I was a little youngun I didn`t care much about TV (still don`t compared to most folks). All I wanted to do was hunt, fish, trap, and read about hunting, fishing, and trapping.
Well on a rainy day, or when you just feel like sitting a spell, I challenge you to watch the Ernest T episodes. I think there is only 5 or 6, cause according to the book I read about the show his character dominated it so much it would've been his show.

The Darlin's aren't too bad, Ernest is in a few with them.

Yeah, but you know ain't one born after the 80's are gonna watch nothing filmed in b&w.
My son was born in 95, and he’s an Andy fan.

My wife’s dad was from Mt Airy. Man could cook a whole hog like nobody’s bidness.
