Altamaha River Tarpon Size

Any estimate on my nephew’s Tarpon he caught on a yozuri plug. He fought it for about 45 minutes.

Not sure about the Altamaha, but it's illegal in Florida waters.

The fish was released alive. You can actually keep 1 Tarpon a day in Georgia. Don’t know why anyone would.

I'd guess that is a 60-75 pounder depending on the size of your nephew...

Sweet. Were you targeting Tarpon? That is a nice one. It looks very fat for it's length. 75 sounds about right.

They were rolling around but would not touch our Pogie. My nephew started throwing a saltwater yozuri plug and 10 minutes later got bit.

Those river fish like a DOA swimming mullet too. Gets bit a lot when nothing else does. Good looking fish!
