Update on the Tipstrike for the guys looking at them. I shot an 8 point this morning at maybe 30 yards. Results on game seems to mirror the SST. Half dollar entrance and dime size exit. Bullet held together nicely....Ill be in the mountains in December so maybe I'll be able to test another one at some further distance, but I was most concerned with them exploding on close shots.

Thanks for forwarding the pics. I have been thinking about the Tipstrike 170 grain in .308. Currently using the Norma Whitetail 150 and averaging moa with them. Looking to tighten groups a little more.

Did you ever find the 140s?

I did not I went with the Norma Tipstrikes as a replacement due to lack of finding Hornady stuff. Got the same accuracy, saved money, and the same exact results as my old SSTs. I'll be placing a large order of Tipstrikes after season to hold the ole rifle over.
