We never had one of those. I helped my daddy change the valve seals in a little 318 that was in a Plymouth Scamp ( looked like a Dodge Dart). We had to do it the old fashion way, I compressed the springs with 2 screwdrivers and he would remove the keepers. If a screw drive slipped, the keepers would go flying. :bounce:

Is that tool made specifically for Flatheads ?

It's made for any valves in block, not overhead valves. Almost everyone that worked on Model A Fords had one.
