Blind vs Tree Stand

I have a good ground blind. I never use it any more. I just sit against a tree. The blind spooks them a lot more than you do.

I've never been much of a ground hunter but those Millennium tree seats look interesting. I'm probably going to order one before deer season.
They are the bomb. I have several different types of seats but they are the most comfortable.

Have used pop up blinds, particularly out west in open country and late season cold conditions. Great when two people are hunting together too.

But for SE hunting I like just a turkey lounger and shooting sticks. Has a back so you don't need a tree to be comfortable. Just need a little cover to back up to that breaks up your outline. Any patch of gum trees or fennels will do. I usually set up a little further back from the travel route to avoid them walking up on or behind me.

I hunt out of a blind a decent amount, but it is my absolute last option. I don't like the way your scent lingers as much when bowhunting. I'm a firm believer that being in a tree and the way thermals work, you can get away with more from a tree with deer downwind. Not nearly as much when on the ground. Just my experiences.

I find myself 90% of the time in my climber . But in the right situation a ground blind is hard to beat .
I set one up last season on a couple good crossings in planted pines mostly for my dad or daughter . They are comfortable and work . Here’s the proof IMG_5454.jpeg

Ground blinds for me, but do use tree stands a little bit.

In your case, maybe a tripod would fill the bill with all the small trees

Joined a new club that has plenty of Deer but tons of 2nd level pine (small and spindly). Look like no safe trees for a tree stand. Which is better? A ground blind or Tree Stand?
Over the last 30 years since double bull made blinds. I've killed a pile of very nice bucks out of them. I'd rather blind hunt in a place like your talking about than anything. I've had bucks walk right by it.

Most all of these shots are 200 to 500 yds. I set a blind up where I can see the furthest and still use some pvc shooting rests we made for father's day 25 or so years ago. A comfortable chair is a must. Be ready to shoot, they either won't see the blind or stare at it while I'm pulling the trigger. No one hunts these places soooooo you might see 1 or 10 animals or more. If you can whistle, use it. It stops them dead in their tracks. Try it you'll be blown away.

Each have their place. Have killed big deer from each. Whether you're gun or bow hunting can sway scenarios too, but nothing is beating the wind. Hard to argue a blind in inclement weather. For me, there’s nothing like watching rut crazed chasing from a saddle, and being able to swing to see from any direction.
