No but I got one too.
Thought it was an old person problem, I'm 49 and have had it for 10+- years. Hurts sometimes others not too much. Hasn't gotten much bigger so we will see.
Keep us posted if you do it.
My wife had two bunios surgeries. The first was not bad. The second was very painful. They inserted a rod in her toe bone to make it straight. My dad had one and he had no problems.
My MIL had it done. I think it took a few weeks to heal (she was up and about though, living normal day to day life).
She said it was so painful she didn't think it was worth it
Hopefully I will never need it. I developed a bunion in Army basic training 1989. I had no idea what it was and was too afraid to discuss it with the doctors since I was...ya know...too busy trying not to get screamed at and threatened 24/7. It never caused me any pain or problems so far. I just have a weird giant bulging bunion that pushes my toes off at an angle on one foot. Sometimes my socks on that foot bunch up and that's uncomfortable and annoying.
