Thats what I will never understand. How do these shysters get such a faithful following? Belief in God... ok I get that. But belief in these wackadoodles getting up there and acting the fool while you make them rich men???
Baffles me.
Check out on you tube "Funny Church Videos - Preachers Gone Wild" and you will really be amazed and entertained. But the worst of the worst are faith-healers.

Thats a really interesting thing about us humans. What some find absolutely ridiculous, others jump into with both feet.

Physicist Richard Feynman once said, “The first principle is that you must not fool yourself, and you are the easiest person to fool.”

Also when we are committing (or about to commit) delusional, ridiculous things, that part of our brain that normally says "hey, this is not logical" is diminished significantly.

Thats something that definitely seperates us from other animals.
I dont know this for a fact, but I imagine, for example, not too many deer
say "hey hold my beer. Im gonna run through this gauntlent of hunters just for the adrenaline rush".

Next thing ya know you and your friends are drinking koolaid in the jungle somewhere.
Speaking of jungles, how about those kids that survived for like a month in the jungle in South America after a plane crash recently? If you haven't heard about it, google it - these kids are awesome!

Humans can certainly talk themselves into trouble! Sadly, we rarely talk ourselves out of trouble.

Yea. We have the luxury of feeling safe, full stomach, shelter, and bored. Deer run a gauntlet every day. :)

That’s what really separates humans and animals - although we both have a fear when trouble hits, humans have a conscience of knowing something isn’t right, even if it’s legal.

Oh, we know when something isn't "right" but then we rationalize it until it sounds right! Like they say "humans aren't rational creatures, they are rationalizing creatures"!

Yep. If there is something we really want to do, we'll figure out a way to allow ourselves to do it.
