Give me ideas on cooking a deer roast
Which one? Neck, front leg, back leg, etc.? How big? Every one can be done several ways, but some ways work better on one than the others.

I only use the rump as a roast.

I just buy a beef pot roast spice pack at Kroger and crock pot it on low for 6-8 hrs with potato’s and carrots and whatever else you like in your pot roast.

Sear it in cast iron, and then into the crock pot.

I use SPG (same as for brisket) and oven roast for 4-6 hrs. I also discovered that a slice of brisket across the top works well.

Croc pot full of taters, carrots and onion with beef broth. Slow and low cooking

Honestly not sure it’s from the freezer, but not big enough to be a rear ham

This one was to die for.

Sear all sides, crockpot for 6+ hrs butter and beef or chicken broth, can of dr pepper.

I think a little red wine is a good flavor too.
