TOOK A LONG CAREFUL LOOK AT MY TRADITIONS 32 CAL. SQURRIEL RIFLE'S LOCK. FOUND THAT THERE WAS A LOT OF PLAY IN THE SEAR. APPERENTLY OX-YOKE SENT ME THE WRONG SEAR SCREW. THE ONE IN THE LOCK HAD NO SHOULDER ON THE SCREW. GOT A CORRECT SCREW AND NOW IT WORKS GREAT.Traditions-Crockett-_32-Caliber-Percussion-Rifle.jpg

One of the best things about these projects is that you can take your time and actually learn how the gun works and better yet how to fix it if things go wrong. When parts were cheaper I used to tell people to buy a cheap lock from Dixie Gunworks and take it apart, polish it etc so you actually know how it is supposed to work.

Looking forward to seeing your finished project.
