God has arranged the parts

You are not a misfit.

If you are like many, you may think that you are not like the others; that you're strange or odd. That you don't fit in.

That sense can be heightened significantly on social media where some appear to be more gifted, more articulate, or more "together."

1 Corinthians 12:12-27 has some very good news for you.

In verse 18, for example, you'll find this (NIV): "God has arranged the parts of the body, every one of them, just as He wanted them to be."

If you were like everyone else, there wouldn't be a body at all. (verse 19)

In fact, the parts that seem to be weaker are indispensable, according to verse 22.

God chose the weak and foolish things so that no one would mistake His work for ours. (We're all weak and foolish, by the way.)

No matter how things look from a worldly human perspective, He is glorified in you.

You are no accident. You were crafted by Him. (Ephesians 2:10) That includes your proclivities, quirks, and uniqueness.

That's the way of grace. The easy yoke and light burden that lets you be you.

Grace and peace to you.

Yes, the people I didn't think I needed were turned to utmost importance.
The things I didn't want to hear were made clear as precisely what I needed.
The questions I was either afraid or did not want to ask were the very ones appointed to liberty.
And the rebuke that felt like death, the chastenings that seemed (and may yet seem) unbearable are appointed to life.

Absolutely. If I could have seen this in those early days of faith it would have transactionally redeemed a whole bunch of hurt.
Enemies turned to teachers, misunderstandings turned to empathetic consolations.
And physical and emotional pain turned into hearty dependence on Him who knew all pain imaginable, and lavishes love and grace for such moments.

Yes, I'd call this the great consolation of the hurting. The healing will come in all shapes and sizes!

What a Comforter !!
