That's why I only shoot Sigs and Glocks. I like my guns to go bang when I pull the trigger.

And Sig, whom I absolutely love their metal guns, my P220 is probably my favorite handgun of all time, has struggled with the same issue Taurus has with the GX4, discharging while dropping. Now, the question is, has Taurus had any real experiences with it or is this just a pro-active recall? Sig had law suits associated with their issue I believe.

All mass produce companies have issues now and again. How well they take care of it is what separates them.

Sig’s problem is they want to make a bit of everything. They constantly discontinue models and come out with new ones, while discontinuing support for the prior models. They’re really bad about doing that with their rifles.

as far as I can remember I've never owned a Taurus pistol, I've owned one or two Taurus revolvers many years ago, kinda hard to mess one of those up ,,, the biggest thing keeping me from buying a TX22 is their reputation for issues, they have figured out how to make mediocre guns very cheaply, and the result is quality control issues from time to time, whether it is materials quality, or design flaws, I will not trust one! I for sure would not trust one as my defense weapon , but then there are quite a few car brands I refuse to buy and drive also , so I guess I have standards ? lol
My TX22 has been 100% reliable with all ammo I have tried in it. Have buddy that has gone thru near 10k rounds in his. Has wore the slide out where the barrel fits. He is threatening to send it in for warranty repair.

Sig should have stuck with the metal guns. They are hard to beat.

Agreed. My only Sig handgun I’ve ever owned is a P229 from the early 2000’s. I don’t shoot it much since it’s .40 but it’s not going anywhere.

My G2C has been flawless. I put a trigger kit in it and it ain’t bad for a $300 gun.

Taurus makes decent affordable revolvers in my opinion. Nothing special but you can carry em and scratch em up and not feel bad about it.
