Kudos to Springfield customer service

I traded my way into a used Springfield EMP4 9mm 1911 last month. When shot it, it was getting light primer strikes intermittently. My range fodder with CCI primers ran fine, defense rounds with Winchester primers wouldn’t fire, and rounds with Remington primer were 50/50.

I placed a call to Springfield (Letting them know that I got it used), and within 15 minutes had an RMA number and a prepaid FedEx shipping label. According to the tracking number they received it on 5/2. Today I received an email that it had a new firing pin and mainspring installed, was test fired and safety checked under warranty, and is in route back to me. According to the tracking number it’s due back to me Thursday.

Hopefully they have it running well.
Sure would be a nice carry gun….great size.

I love Springfield 1911s. In my opinion they're the best bang for the buck in a quality 1911. You can sure pay a lot more and get a lot less.
Never needed their warranty but nice to know they did you right.

FedEx delivered it today. I’ll be heading to big woods good tomorrow for test firing prior to carrying it. I’m also going to test fire the Ruger Security Six the my girlfriend bought from Sharp Shooter’s going out of business dale.

I ran 50 range rounds and 50 JHP through it during lunch today. It ran like a top.
