Man! What a great season for so many on the forum! Not a real eventful season for me, but felt blessed to get this old eight notcher with the grendel early on. Saw some true trophies while trying to put my kids on them, but wouldn’t change a thing.

In an attempt to take a breather from the Political Forum, here are 2 bucks I was fortunate to take in 2020. I was able to get it done in 3 hunts totaling about 5 hours of hunting. Widey was taken in an afternoon hunt where I hadn't even sat down in my stand yet when he came out. I saw a doe, by herself, cross the fire break I was hunting. Because of the date, I figured there'd be a buck behind her. As I'm thinking that, a small tree on the edge of the break starts swaying back and forth pretty violently. I said to myself, I bet that's him. Sure enough, he crosses the fire break to catch up with the doe. Stopped him at 60 yards. I didnt even have time to pull down the shooting rail. This was a buck I was targeting and the 2nd biggest I've taken off the family farm.

Probably put in over 100 hours of prep over a few months (including driving time back and forth) for 5 hours of total hunting this season.

Just wanted to take a minute congratulate everyone on a great looking bunch of bucks. I don't take the time to like every one of them but some absolute magnificent books from our wonderful state of Georgia and those of you that were fortunate enough to travel and harvest. Congratulations to everyone again

Dec 26th, WMA buck. Proud of this one. Next morning we went right back in and the buddy (new hunter) I’ve been hunting with this season killed his first buck. Heck of a weekend!

What’s the story on that velvet buck? Very nice my friend.
Very unique buck for sure, he showed up at 10 o'clock on November 14...he was the 5th buck I saw that morning...I truly expected a doe when I walked up due to the time of year, but sure enough he was swinging for the fence...he was definitely a 2020 buck running low on testosterone I guess, lol. Gorgeous velvet with not a single flaw, he had a little ding fom the fall down the mountain. Awesome hunt I will not soon forget!

I had a great year. Got him opening day of rifle season. We called him Captain Hook because of the hook tine on his spit brow
