Thank you!A nice one, too! I love catching river smallies, especially on the fly.
Thank you, it’s one of my favorite places to fish and you aren’t kidding about the Browns. That picture was taken at the bottom of Cooke Dam. A jet sled is in my future.Nice catch,,,,beautiful river too,,,,big trout,,,,
If you're hooked, western NC has some great river smallmouth fishing without having to go all the way to MI, too. The river next to my house is swarming with them, as are most of our local bigger streams.Thank you!
You ain’t kidding, they are so darn aggressive and very much plentiful up there!
I caught a ton of Smallies and my biggest Walleye ever on a jerkbait while I was up there.
I’ll look into that. Thanks. I’m always looking for a new place to learn about. If you're hooked, western NC has some great river smallmouth fishing without having to go all the way to MI, too. The river next to my house is swarming with them, as are most of our local bigger streams.
That's a hoss!Me too!
This is my biggest Smallmouth to date. I caught her in Muskallonge Lake, in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Never measured or weighed her. I let her go. View attachment 1028524
