Newbie to this forum

Any suggestions for campgrounds/sites on Lanier? Cabins? Will probably be with two great grands 5 and 7...not looking for crowds or thrills a minute area. Maybe boat rentals? small beach?
Asking too much? Or, if you had your druthers for fishing and less crowds...would you choose Hartwell?

Lake Lanier is crazy crowded on weekends. I'm assuming you are living north of Atlanta?
If you come southwest of Atlanta about 70 miles West Point Lake has everything you're looking for at www.southernharbor.com
It's a much more laid back blue collar type place.I plan to co-host a weekend fish fry there in the near future...there's a thread for it in the Freshwater Fishing forum here.
You and your greats would be very welcome there.
