I was honestly very surprised when this guy came strolling by the stand! I was hunting good buck sign, but had no clue it was this guy

Fine buck for sure! As someone who has spent my life hunting on NC public land, I appreciate how special that one is!

Thank you! I’m still in shock honestly, and extremely grateful to harvest a deer like that.
I only started deer hunting NC 3 years ago, when I got stationed up there at Fort Bragg, so it definitely took a few years to get into some good areas.
