Go in at fargo. My parents live close by in Homerville and fishing is fun in the swamp. But since you got your own boat do not forget the Suwanee. I have had better luck in the river for sure. But the swamp is a cool place. Billy island is cool and you can spend a day just driving around looking at stuff.

I have fished the swamp for over 40 years and I have enjoyed every trip. The Gator Motel at Fargo is the best place to stay if rooms are available. The rooms are clean, the air cold and the TV works. We go in March and April and fish Billys lake, the sill and the river. I really like the bull head cats we catch, they fry up good. We always have a fish fry at the motel and invite all the guest. For bait I use pinks, rooster trails, beetle spins, crawfish work best if you can find some. For worm fishing I rig with slip corks and slip sinkers. If you don't have a boat you can fish the runs at the sill. Good Luck.
