I am planning a trip for next fall , with a couple of buddys to go try a pheasant hunt in South Dakota. Our first hunt out west of any kind.
Can I get some recommendations for a hunting operation out there with quaility wild birds and good guides and dogs.

Thanks,
JT

Kind of hard to go wrong in SD. I hunted SD last year but I don't have anyone to recommend. We went out there, paid a farmer a trespass fee and walked them up ourselves for 3 days. We did well and had no problem finding birds. If I had it to do over again, I would have gone with someone that had a dog.

I did meet a lady at Cabella's in Mitchell that operated a lodge. She charged $100 per day, which included lodging and land to hunt. I am pretty certain that for an additional fee she will include meals and possibly a guide. For the life of me I can't remember her name, but if you called the store, I am sure they could know who it is.
