Picking a puppy... Boykin

I’m going to be picking between 2 Boykin pups in the next little while. Are there any iOS or things to consider when doing this? I’m hoping to get it and train it for dove. Would taking a frozen dove be a little too much too early when looking? They are 6 weeks now I believe

Get them on birds early. I used frozen doves with my GSP. As far as picking one of the two, it would be hard to tell how good hunters they would make at that age. Take a feather on a stick and string to see how they react then sit down and see which one picks you. At that age it’s a crap shoot.
