Remove Internet information on yourself

That's good to know but our personal info or some of it has been on the internet for so long now I doubt its worth my time to try and remove it.

It can still matter if there are things that you wish would not come up in the future. Like keeping you kids photos off the net. Bankruptcy, leans, judgements, garnishment, arrest. In most cases the damage is already done. But if you remove it and someone does a search going forward Google will let you know. If kids have done things that may hurt them later in life. It might not matter to old timers.

The storage site stores it all. I can show you your first post if you give me the date you joined.
There no running as google is only a tool.

You can probably find by just the user name. The NSA already has it all in their meta data that all companies provided them. ATT, Verizon, equifax, transunion, Google, Facebook and many more.

Once you put something on the internet it’s forever. If you put it on the internet on here you are a “person of interest “.

It’s not that covert anymore, data collection is out in the open. Over the last year my air travel has evolved significantly through data collection. A year ago the TSA folks would match my picture on my DL and put the DL under a black light to see the hologram. A few months later they added a card reader that matched the bar code on the DL to your photo. A quick scan and your were through. About three months ago a biometric camera and software was added. Stand in front of the camera a few seconds and you’re done. My last few trips, no need to see you DL. The agent looks at you and the computer screen for a yes or no. Private business has been collecting similar data.

It’s what happens to your personal data that’s cause for concern. With just a little of your info, and a quick search, I was able to find your DL photo. Scary, ain’t it?

If you're collecting data on me against my will and using it against me that's about as insidious as it gets and I can't think of any reason the data collected on me isn't being used against me.

The correct word would have been more overt, not hiding at all. Compliance with DOT, FAA and TSA is a condition of carriage. Only have to do it you want a ticket.

I’m a cat. I can’t drive. Besides, I’m under the age of 13. They can’t collect data on me. So, pppppppppp. :bounce:

Go ahead and surf the forum as you normally would, just 8 years ago. Let me know if you want me to scare you some more.

My point is thats every post that happened on that day. Its
Not on google and a good many are deleted later, but you can still see them in the archives. Every post on the internet is still there to see.

google sells advertising, telling you your info is not for people to search might make you feel good, but once you sign up for Google analytics, you can have people of certain demographics or social economics not see your data in a search. My search of the same topic won’t necessarily return the same thing as yours.
