I have one St.Croix spinning rod and have to say I'm not impressed. Probably will not buy another one.

While I like st Croix rods I'd pass on those combos, they aren't that great of a deal. The reels are junk and you can buy them off aliexpress for $30.

Sad Daiwa is making junk reels anymore

Those aren't even made by diawa, they are contract reels made for global ride with diawa stickers, all plastic frames. The new fuego coming out soon looks to be a killer reel for under$100.

I have a Fuego casting reel, (not spinning). Like it a lot for the price.

Interestingly I put it on a St Croix clearance rod
