strange deer behavior

A member called me last night and was telling me about being up on the lease and scouting last weekend ,he walked up on a good buck that was bedded down, here's where it gets weird, the buck got up, started pawing, snorting and blowing, then turned around and slowly walked off, I've heard of behavior kinda like that during the rut but never in the summer. Just wondering if anyone else has had that happen to them.

I own a 250 acre tree farm where I primarily hunt and live on a separate 10 acres just outside of Athens.

I've been checking my cam cams on the hunt place every week but have started seeing more better deer at my house.

Tonight, I was watching (OK still looking at them through the office window) 5 bucks feed on some corn at the house and one bigger one was already starting to push the others around a good bit. All of this in velvet of course.

I guess it goes to show that a good buck can be testy anytime he wants and the lesser "buck" will comply.
