I hate to have to go change the time on my feeders when we return to EST...4 hour round trip...And it confuses the deer when it changes right in the middle of the season

I'd vote DLST. More daylight in the evening after work.....
Still got a few more yearsI got so fed up, I just quit working
I don't have the power to adjust my schedule, unless I quit my job. I have to be there at 6AM.Why don't we just leave the clocks alone but adjust our schedules?
When I am up at the hizzle in the hills, summertime means sun at 6am, daylight at 540. Thought about blacking out our bedroom but I am an early bird anyways having been waking up at 5am everyday for almost 3 decades.I'm the exact opposite. I hate going to work in the dark and getting home at dark. I don't give a crap what time it gets daylight in the morning because it's always dark when I leave anyway, but some daylight after I get home is sure nice. I'd be happy if they put it on DST and left it there. Darkness at 5:30 PM sucks.
I'm usually up at 4, but it ain't by choice. When I am up at the hizzle in the hills, summertime means sun at 6am, daylight at 540. Thought about blacking out our bedroom but I am an early bird anyways having been waking up at 5am everyday for almost 3 decades.
If businesses and institutions would get on board, dst would be unnecessary.I don't have the power to adjust my schedule, unless I quit my job. I have to be there at 6AM.
One of the very few things I disagree with you about. I absolutely hate the dark at 5:30 in the wintertime time. It absolutely depresses me to almost never see my home in the daylight for three months of the year. I wish they ran DST all year. If I didn't have to go to work, it wouldn't much matter one way or the other. A little less than 3 years.I`ve never like change of much any kind, and I cannot stand this new time. I think I`ll just start going by the sun. And throw away all my clocks.
No, but they can still change the apparent "time" that it gets dark in relation to our daily schedule. Time is an artificial construct, true, but in our world, we have no choice but to live by the clock if we choose to make a living by being employed. It gets dark early in winter and light longer in summer. Clocks cant change that.
Yup you're right, and when they change it to daylight saving time it just means that the folks who work by the sun get home later than they would a week ago. By the clock that is. Its stupid. They should leave it alone, and standard time balances the day by the clock better than DST.No, but they can still change the apparent "time" that it gets dark in relation to our daily schedule. And seems I was always in the dark at work.Leaving home when it's dark and getting home when it's dark sucks.
You know what i mean. How would they get home earlier?FIFY.
