I have a remington 1100 magnum 30" vent rib full choke. Wanting to turn into turkey gun, is it feasible to cut a barrel down and have threaded for rem choke or should I just buy a barrel? I do not use this 30" barrel at all I have 7 different remingtons 870, 1100's, and 1187. This gun in particular has sentimental value but I would like to put it back to use.

You can have your barrel cut and threaded for Remchokes, but price-wise ya might be better off just buying a new barrel......or a nice used one.

I would call or email this guy. he comes highly recommended and gives a 20% discount to members on the Shotgunworld.com forum.
Then decide which is the best way to go.
Maybe sell the 30" barrel and buy the one you want might be cheaper but maybe not.
