What kind of bird

This little guy was in the backyard resting.
He was asleep and my Grandson and I were able to get within 5 feet of him.
His wings were black, the rest was yellow.
I thought it was a Goldfinch from afar, but his size and beak suggested otherwise.

Not certain but it looks like a Prothonotary warbler. The bill is lighter, all the ones I have seen are black, but other than that it fits.

He was at least the size of a bluebird.
I was thinking he was some type of Tanager???
We've never seen them here, but figured he was passing through. He hopped through the fence, but did not fly away. I wish I could have gotten more pics, but Diesel was also in the backyard and he would have chased him off, had he noticed what we were up to.

I agree with Fan Number 17, looks like a Prothonotary Warbler. Only problem though is it looks like the bill has a slight recurve. Odd.
