Who raised the children that went into Canaan land?

Shallow music. Absolutely. Even the atheists of the atheist forums know the importance of deep music.

What is Revivalistic? Is it even a word? And when do emotions descend in an ism as in Emotionalism? When is love loveism? When is genuine loving?

There is no pragmatism like Christian pragmatism, don't care who you are.

Squishy political ethics and squishy economic ethics are bad, but yes squishy sexual ethics are really bad for those in politics and for the administrators of large business concerns---especially those since the 19th century who routinely business travel with their mistresses.

Do people still worship Elvis Presley? And Enrico Caruso? Is Bob Dylan still up there since he sold his portfolio to millionaires who make their millions by business travel?

What was the pork barrel in years past and is parasitic wokeness today will be named something else tomorrow.

Lack of discipline... yes. No one want's to admit to be a disciple of any entity or anyone these days. Trust is out the window or kicked to the curb. People don't even trust themselves anymore and even their own memories, let alone anything or anyone else. The only discipline everyone identifies with these days is gang discipline. We get the faint or real odor of it and we church hop. We understand how the devil disciplines to organize his ministries. Yet, we all keep a little of this discipline and poison to keep things real and to organize our purposes. Which is why we can't really trust anyone, even ourselves.

Have you ever considered that for many of the new generation today that can do excellent research via the internet that they find mainline churches to be viewed as cults by assemblies that are viewed by mainline churches to be cults? And so all of Christianity is becomes a cult of cult salads?
I have no problem if a faith group can watch a study, hear a sermon, etc., It is necessary for us to meet together for the mass.

That is a tall order. For a good part of Christianity since the Reformation the mass has been viewed historically as idol worship.

Cultures have been birthed and nations have be formed on this belief. Entire frontiers have been opened up to peoples who would raise a banner against and despise the mass.

Those who would cleave to their mass houses were excluded from full social, political and economic participation in society. Their default in society was that of a minority to be marginalized and hopefully with time become assimilated.

It is a tall order that the sons of these pioneers could convince themselves to meet together for the mass--except they were people with the make up of rare soul the likes of General James Longstreet--- who knew when the war was finished. :) Tall order I say. :)

It is perhaps the reason why for so many the habits and egalitarianism of secular society is more Christian and democratic and far less prejudiced than the forms of organized Christianity, its history and conduct they know of--their experience of Christ in the societies they are native to.

I sometimes wonder what would happen if all of the western world converted back to a common early early form of Christianity? What would hold it back from being theocratic as is now Iran? Who and what would then take up the necessary forms of our now familiar antichrists? What would the devils look like. :)

“Since the Reformation“ aka the third schism, much of the west has lost touch with practiced faith as it was delivered to the saints. All they know is Rome, the great anti-Christ, as they call it, they have no knowledge of the Orthodox, the Coptics, etc. Ask them what the ancient faith has taught and believed since Christ, and all the can answer is “Rome teaches salvation by works”.

Ignorance is bliss. So much of the faith has been lost in the west.

By the way Christianity is theocratic, remember the Jews cried on Good Friday, “we have no king but Caesar” but the Christian now’s better.
