Your New Years Day Menu

Ok, I’ll get it started. Hate no Collage Football to watch on New Years Day as normal, but I’ll be doing a pork shoulder for pulled BBQ sandwiches, homemade Mac and cheese, coleslaw, and Thick Texas Toast from our local Deli to put the meat on.

New Years Eve it will be a surf and turf, lobster tail and filet, baked potato and broccoli. New Years the usual, collards seasoned with smoked pork jowl, Hoppin' John and a pone of cornbread.

leftover honey baked hambone in with a pot of black eye peas.....collards with smoked ham hocks......white meal hoe cakes.....

Pork chops, mustard greens/ham hocks, blackeye peas, rice w/pot liquor, corn bread. Sweet tea. Yellow layer cake with pineapple/cream cheese icing.

Country ham steaks, black eyed peas with the Christmas ham bone cooked in it, collard greens, mash taters, corn bread, and apple pie for dessert.

Spiral sliced ham, dried blackeyes cooked with smoked hog jowl, pepper, and onions, mustard greens cooked with smoked hog jowl, cracklin` cornbread, homemade pepper sauce, and a banana split pie for dessert.

BTW, my Granny always said dont eat no critter that scoots backwards on new years day cause it will take you backwards in the coming year, so dont yall eat no chicken, Turkey, crawdads or lobsters tomorrow.

That Honey Baked hambone sure makes some good peas and beans! I had some ham chunks from the Honey Baked ham we had at Christmas that will go in my peas.

Smoked sausage and kraut, lil smokies, fresh backstrap, fried cabbage, pizza casserole, deviled eggs, and whatever else my friends are cooking.

tomorrow butt in the sow cooker, collards and dried black eyed peas with smoked turkey and some corn bread.

I got shrimps, fish, fries done. Going to see if this knife that is older than most of us still works.

Vacuumed the house, did laundry and dishes already. Or I would be doing it all next year. Lol. That’s the way I was taught. Haven’t even thought about what to eat yet.

Got a boil going down tomorrow.

6lbs shrimp, 12 frozen corns, andouille and redskins. Hope it fits. I Think there will be 6 folks over tomorrow night

We're changing up this year. Gonna do some shrimp and fresh water mussels.
