i think what ugabulldog is trying to say is for you to read up on collar conditioning prior to using it on the dog. not knowing how to use a collar can ruin a dog.

dogtra is top of the line....my trainer uses them and got me hooked....think mine is the 2300 or 2500

I wasnt trying to call you out on on the training aspects of using a collar. It just seems to me that when someone refers to them as "shock collars" that they might be new to that person. Regardless Dogtra is a good choice. I have the 3500NCP and I love it, especially when hunting because the transmitter is smaller than most.
