Our azaleas are in full bloom.

Our pecans are JUST starting.

I looked at a few persimmons yesterday and they are being lazy.

Coffee on porch. It is cool this am but not cold.

I am out in Texas again and it is spring here, for sure.

Jo checked the 10 day at home today and I think we are in the clear.

Think spring is officially here.

Just saw two hummingbirds.

Pecan trees are def leafing out.

Jo’s front porch azaleas are violently blooming.

Thinking it may be a good year for pears. At least so far. Loaded up at the house. None at the lease though. Tried planting a few times but timber operation always gets em. C'est la vie.View attachment 1298527View attachment 1298528

Nice images, Dale!

We have a good many 4-5 year old pear trees on our club ground And it looks like about 35-40% of them may make pears.

Good luck!

My pears, peaches and blueberries look good. Never had pears make, so how do you know they are ready? The pears are an Asian variety if memory serves. Same for peaches? The peach is an Elberta. I hate a hard peach.

I can’t comment on the peaches. We planted two this year and is our first foray.

Barring some of the pitfalls that can happen, you will have pears.

They all look good!!!!!!!

I would say your GA place is busting out.

I think we can think about grafting persimmons in 3-4 weeks.

Gonna try not to screw it up this time.

I'm gonna call it officially spring. Back door open enjoying some coffee and the morning air. Go to take a sip and there's a bug floating in my cup. Pop woulda said don't worry he didn't drink much. Scoop him out. I'm not as tough as Pop was.

I’ve got one pear on my one mature food plot pear trees. It was fairly loaded last year. Still to early to tell on the sawtooths and chestnuts.

Did the frost get the pears?

We have some trees in some locations that seemed to get burned and we have some trees that just seemed to have not put on flower - but if nothing goes wrong, we are gonna a bunch of pears for the deer to munch on this fall.

Good luck with the nut trees!
