Try cleaning out around each tree to remove the competition, then fertilize them in the spring.

We have 2 pear trees and had the same results. They are loaded this year but will all be on the ground before the season starts. Good news is this is the first year we have actually seen evidence of something eating them...hope it's the deer?

Went down to check on things at the farm. Not a single pear on any of the 18 trees.

Persimmons are loaded.
