I've been lurking on-and-off for awhile and wanted to introduce myself.
I'm a brand-new hunter (unless you count plinking a few varmints 25 years ago on the farm). I moved to GA from the Pacific NW almost 15 years ago. When I moved out here I thought it would be fun to get into turkey hunting and this year I finally decided to go for it. And then one day I saw a great deal on a bolt-action .308 and thought why not try deer hunting too.
I've got 2 little boys (and one on the way). My dad never hunted but I grew up outdoors. I thought it would be fun to teach my boys to hunt if they wanted once they're old enough.
