Draw Length Question

I was shooting Saturday, and I realized that it looks like my draw is longer than 28" on a traditional bow is the draw length measured from the front of the bow or the center of the rest? It will give me an idea of the poundage. My bow is 50# @ 28.

They say a picture is word a thousand words...this one answers your question. Measure from the front of the bow at the rest to the apex of the string (base of nock groove).

I measured and I am Drawing 28.5. My bow is 50 at 28 so my guess is that I am actually pulling 51#. Is that correct?

Sounds about right. Only way to know for sure is to put it on a scale.
