Odd round rock

Looks big enough to be a cannon ball. Found this on our hunting land and looks to have been man made into this sphere. Odd thing I thought but maybe it is naturally round? IDK

The Oracle
Geode

Looks like a Geode to me.

You don't want that near your fire pit. THEY WILL BLOW UP!
They are hollow inside and contain gas.. Probably methane
but not sure about that.

Here is one almost perfectly round that has been
cracked open.
Even has the little nub, like yours.

Test it with a magnet to make sure it ain't a cannon ball.
They can still go off.

If not magnetic, crack it open and see.
Better yet, use abrasive saw, with PLENTY of water and clean cut it.
AND.. If you want to spend the money take it somewhere that has a water jet machine.

There is one at a local pawn/gun shop that has one.
The sticker is $699.00.. (not a typo)
It is huge and has a lot of different color crystals
inside..

we get geodes in Georgia? That would be really cool. Wonder if there is a way to know its hollow without cracking it.

Seems there is a place when you first come into Helen from Cleveland that have several geodes, may get some info there.
