Hairy men's ankles make me throw up in my mouth. Fashion trends be danged, wear socks or turn in your man-card immediately.

Now wimmens ankles are an entirely different story...

That is something I've never understood about the South...I've lived here a long time and generally refrain from making fun of my adopted brethren. But the no socks thing is simply a non-starter for me. I can't tell you how many times I've seen guys, young adults to grown men, at nice events like church, weddings, or just work...wearing a $250 pair of loafers...and no socks. It is definitely a southern thing...
