Crab Cakes This Evening

Seared in a pan. Served with whipped cauliflower. Don’t knock it unless you try it! Sweated down onion, celery and a ton of garlic, then added chopped cauliflower and chicken stock and let that simmer for 30 minutes or so. Then added heavy cream and let it go another few minutes. Put all that in a blender with some fresh Parmesan and whipped until smooth. The sauce is magnolia sauce. Start by toasting creole seasoning in a dry pan, then add catsup, w’shire, cream and a squeeze of lemon juice.

Looks fantastic. I love some good crab cakes. My wife makes mashed cauliflower(very similar to mashed potatoes) that will really surprise you how good it is.

Looks great! I'll bet that Magnolia sauce would be good on shrimp and grits too.

That looks great. I've just about abandoned mashed potatoes and use whipped cauliflower instead.

I love crab cakes. My MIL used to make the best ones I ever ate. RIP Ma, you were the best cook ever in my Wife's family.

Looks great. As to the cauliflower, I have tried it dozens of ways to include faux mashed potatoes. Nope! I'll eat it raw but not cooked.
