For what it’s worth, I read where there is no “kicking coach.” Kicking is a subset of the special teams coach who has historically came from a background of running backs. I also read where Bama has traditionally “outsourced“ kicker recruiting. A third party recruiter often making recommendations. None of this seems to be working in getting a reliable kicker. Hoping to see a change in that next season.

FG kickers have cost him more games than anything!

His completion % has dropped way off and that is largely due to a rookie freshman receiving corps. He and they aren't clicking yet and mostly because they can't get open. Pickens being out for the first half is going to hurt us badly.
