Deer like gas?

A couple weeks ago my brother called me said he thought his fuil pump was going out he drove it to my house and we changed it the next evening I ask if he wanted the old pump or did he want me throw it away he said throw it away so I sit it in the back yard on top of a old fire ant hill to let the gas evaporat before I put it in a garbage bag it 4 days ago I threw it away woke up the next day they was 2 small bucks standing at the edge of the yard the next morning 3 does and this evening another buck walked over to where I been seeing them they have literally dug a hole where the fuel pump was sitting
