Fish Finder

I’ve got about a 7 acre pond that I fish with a 12’ Jon boat. I’d really like to use a fish finder to see what the structure and underwater terrain look like. Also wouldn’t mind seeing a few fish down there. Any recommendations on a fish finder that would work well on a Jon boat would be appreciated.

It'd be a bit spendy but, a Humminbird Helix with side imaging, and a Zero Lines Autochart card would be right up your alley. I believe that Lowrance and Garmin have similar products as well.

A couple of trips just cruising around, and you'd have a full map of the pond.

I have Garmin UHD 93 and Livescope on my jon boat, so it is possible to totally overdo it and blow your budget. I am a gear-o-holic, I admit it.

Get you a mask, snorkel and flippers and cruise it.

Middle of summer, cruise across the surface looking down, it feels good and is good excercise.
