Today, on my way back north across 348. No kidding, he had a bottle of root beer.

That’s awesome Wes! If he is still there in seven weeks he is toast. I have been doing a lot of walking this summer. Have been finding some whiteoaks with acorns, but not as many as last year. Should be a great year. I know I can’t wait!

A friend of mine that I workout with crosses 348 on the way to his job every day says he’s been seeing a bear most mornings. On the White County side. Wonder if it’s the same one.

Could be. This certainly wasn't this one's first encounter with humans. He paid me no attention at all and I was in a big silver truck talking to him from 30 yards away. Unfortunately, there's enough inconsiderate people that litter through here that he's found he can nab an easy snack by the side of the road. It'll probably get him killed.
