If not NADA for boat value, then who should we use?

I have no trolling motor or fish finder on my boat. Shh.. My tax office said don’t worry because they check the value of my boat. Just put something realistic down and they aren’t going to send anybody to look at it. Of course I live in a rural county so things may be different elsewhere.

The actual tax commissioner came out to my place in . She wanted to know where I got my value from and I said I took off 10%for every year I had the boat since 2018. She said I couldnt do that and placed a value for more than I paid for the boat new in 2018.
I was not very nice to her after that and escorted her off the property and told her not to come back

She in my opinion was not in the right. First off they should send you a certified letter stating the above so you can prepare a response detailing why you feel that the county’s appraisal was wrong.

Everyday people who once get elected do their best to stomp on the very ones who put them in office unless they are in a position that doesn’t require the taxpayers vote then just disrespect the local population. These are the most dangerous people in local, state and federal government
