New Ft. Stewart Regs

Went to register a rifle for my Pops in law who is coming in December to deer /hog hunt with me. The guy at the Provost Marshall's office said it is no longer needed unless you are coming into the Garrison area, which is the main post protected by the gates. I again asked him to make sure that the game wardens would not ticket me and he assured me it was not needed. Just FYI.

Wow, this is great news. I was planning on getting all my rifles registered on my way to the Ossabaw Island hog hunt in January. Not having to do that will shave an hour off of my trip!

That's what is posted on the isportsman for FT. Stewart. I am still nervous about the new regs and will carry my permits just in case. I think it will open up to more traffic since the rules for weapons registration has changed. Good luck to y'all
