My buddy has been chasing 3 gobblers now for 3 weekends so I met him Saturday morning to try and call them in,It was blowing 15 and cold but we set up as close to the roost as we could with a little tree talk and 10 minutes later a fly down they hammered I cut and here all 3 come at 35 yards BOOM miss BOOM miss BOOM miss he said what did I do wrong 
all I could say was YOU MISSED.He stayed all day long under the roost and nothing came back.Sunday morning he gets in early set up with a decoy and 1 of the three Flys across the field at daylight and came strutting in,boom dead he made 1 called a fly down and that was enough. He's 1st bird of the year 17 /2 lbs,10 inch beard and 11/8 spurs.It's been a tuff season for him till yesterday and he ready for next weekend to try 1 more time till next year. Persistence pays off for sure with weekend's only his still HOOKED on turkey hunting for life.
