Do I need to dig this prong out of the unit and order a new connector or would a new connector for the port in the middle or the one on the right work?

I’m pretty sure that’s the power connector, and yes if you hope to make it work you need to get the pin out of the connector and then replace the power cable.

Fill the port with hot glue and try to remove the prongs. I’ve had success on computer ports

If you are successful in getting it out, get some 3M electrical contact cleaner and a toothbrush, looks like you have corrosion in the terminals. hopefully this debacle caused you to catch it early enough where it hasn't spread to the circuit board inside the unit.

Thanks guys for the tips. I tried the point of a razor knife to no avail. Will try the glue.
