This year has been on fire, I’ve had 10 longbeards in range. Finally got to see my brother seal the deal on his first 1. I’ve had 2 misses, 30yds or less TSS is pretty tight live and learn. I wanted to solely strike and finish a bird using a trumpet. Opening morning, 23yds strutting and gobbling brother couldn’t see them. Last Monday, 30yds I shot watched him fly off. Last Thursday I called the same bird in twice but brush got me each time. Had him at 25yds, to watch him leave through the briars no clear shot and came in on my weak side. Saturday I had a bird gobble and was down within 90 seconds of the gobble, lil bro put him down with the 870 youth. I got plenty of time left to find me a bird, just wanted to show my brothers bird. 11in beard, 19.2lbs, 3/4in Spurs suicidal 2yr olds are always a pleasure to watch work even if it’s less then 2 mins.
