whats the least expensive way to ship a smaller heavy package?. I sold a pair 21" bronze boat propellers to a guy in texas, they are heavy but the boxes are not that big, UPS and FEX EX want way too much to ship them. any other options?

You may need to consider shipping separately.

Also check with USPS

I think Greyhound still hauls freight. Might be worth a call to check costs.

each box is 24x24x4 and weighs about 45 lbs. Worth over a grand each.

For those size/weight packages, YRC (Yellow Freight) is ~$350.

Make UPS or Fedex account online, and print your own label. Will be cheaper than the marked up UPS store pricing.

Better still, look into what kind of catch goes along with using the 30 day trial of one of the shipping services like Shipstation. My business currently uses Shipstation for all non LTL freight shipments, and the rates they offer are usually significantly cheaper than the negotiated rate my UPS account is currently set up with. My price to ship those is probably $30 per box.

Those parts are way to small for LTL freight to make sense.
