The gator measured 8 ft 6 inches you are right gator hide is tough to work i learned a lot this is the first one I have done

The display rack took me four days to complete it i used ideas from many different hide stretchers from the 18 hundreds It is built using no nails at all the wood is old rough cut oak it is very stout i hope to have the skull done tomorrow

Is it going to stay on that wood rig or is that just for tanning it?

Hard to do that without any nails.

The hide has already been tanned the wood rack can be used as a stretcher to tan or work hides but I am using it as a display rack it is now mounted in my house I wanted to make it using old joiner methods with no nails so that it would have that old world look
